At the base of my captains chairs is a black plastic paddle that is attached to the chair column. You can flip it up......you can flip it down......but for the life of me I can't figure out what it is doing. Anyone know what the heck this thing is?

I did notice at my dealer some of the seats were tighter than others when you tried to swivel them, but that is what it shoud be for. It might take some swiveling to loosen it up if it seems like it does not want to turn easily.

Swivel! If it doesn't swivel freely you can pull the seat up off the post and add a light coat of oil!

I believe the handle is adjustable by lifting it up and screwing it in or out to adjust the tension when it is pushed down. The lever has a cam on it that tightens when pushed down.

on my 2012 20sl the seat has 2 levers under it. 1 lets u swivel the seat and the other 1 lets u slide it closer or farther from the steering wheel.
