Yes ,you may void your warranty leaving it uncovered .

I agree. Definitely cover it. I’ve seen some toons that are 10 years old and look brand new. Also, I’ve seen some only a few years old that aren’t covered and they look old and worn.

Joining the echo chamber here: absolutely cover it. One of the most significant differences between the furniture still looking relatively new in 5, 10, 15 years, or looking old and worn out in 5-7 years.
