Yes, if you use the boat regularly it's low enough drain it should never be an issue.


If someone has long periods (several weeks) when the boat isn't used, it might be best to put a switch on the yellow wire or pull the fuse. Obviously you'd lose the settings, but at least it would not drain the battery!

When we added the second battery the marina bypassed the switch with the memory wire.  That equaled a dead battery that year.  Moved the wire to the switch to kill all power and have not had a problem.  Since we can only get one local station it is no problem and it takes a worry away.
