has anyone installed after market rub rails from Taco(not a joke). they look to be pretty nice.
 
Get them when you order the boat. You'll be glad you did.
 
Would you say the HD version for about $200 from Bennington would be sufficient?

I'd second that.  Not sure why the side rails on my S do not seem to be supported by anything other than the deck at the top edge.  I was at a boat show recently, and most of the other Bennys were made the same way.  Reach behind the rail and run your hand along it, and none of the supports go all the way out to the rail.  I would think anything that helps strengthen the rail seems like a good idea.

I think others have made comments against them, but I'm thinking those comments were toward the rubber ones, not the metal/stainless ones.  I don't recall for sure.  Someone here will remember.
