Hello all! I wanted to put grease in the 2 fittings on my seastar steering actuator by the motor. Does anyone know what kind of grease I should put in there? Is it just regular grease that I would use on my trailer bearings? Also with the power assist steering, how do I check the hydraulic fluid? I know there is a little opening on the helm that says hydraulic fluid. Thanks everyone.

There are no grease fittings on the actuator at the motor. Those are bleeder valves under the rubber caps. As far as fluid level, that's really hard to check. If you open the fitting on the helm you won't see anything.

If you can't see it, check it with a Qtip.

Wow, thank you Carl. I'm glad I asked. Do any of you put any grease on the chrome bar by the motor?

No.
