Second GPS/Depth finder transducer

I am having a 23 SXFAPG (fishing) tritoon built. Want to add a second GPS/depth finder since the Simrad on the dash is hard to see through the steering wheel. I was wondering where anyone may have mounted the second transducer since there isn't much space on the mount at the rear of the right pontoon. Also, I am trying to avoid interference. Looking for rear mount ideas vs on the trolling motor. Thanks

I don't know about interference, so that's a huge caveat here...

my transducer is mounted on the port tube. I think you can mount on either/both.

That said, if this is a fishing rig with a trolling motor, i'd want a trans mounted to it so you can use forward scanning and change where you are directing it. That would be my thoughts anyway...

Check your ability to network another MFD to the existing unit/transducer so you don't need to mount another. Or the SIMRAD may be able to cast the signal to an iphone or ipad as a second screen.
