I bought a 2008 GL2275 last year. Everything was perfect until, from the boat, i had to attach a dock line to the port-side stern cleat. There is no deck access to that cleat. Since I can't walk on water, I had to climb over the deck furniture and lean overboard to attach the line.

Does anyone have a similar model and, if so, have you figured out a way to overcome this design defect? BTW, Bennington must have soon discovered their mistake. I have not seen another model with this obvious oversight.

Yup, our 07 is the same way. If I need the line there I hang over the side. I used to keep a mooring line attached to the cleat and tucked into the crease in the changing room but I really didn't use it much.

My 2011 RLi is really no different. Has maybe a 6" ledge, def. not much to step on. I'm guessing their theory is, if you are hooking a dock line, your on a dock, not accessing from the boat. Not saying that theory always works but you get my point.
