All,

What Subwoofer did you put under the Helm of a R series or Q?

Do you know what the dimensions are of the door to fit a sub inside?

R series helm is larger than G.I am 99% sure you will be good. That sub is also in my G.

Yup, it fits, and hammers too! Elevated helm?

Well I can fit inside the helm, and I'm not a little guy. 6' 220. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want to camp in there, but I fit when I was doing my stereo install many times!

Guys,

Boat is finally coming, delivery Friday.  Dealing with my audio dealer they are recommending the JL XD1000/5 Amp (600 Watts) to the sub channel.  The concern they have as they have not worked with a Bennington is the placement of the subwoofer under the Helm.  They said that it potentially will need more air volume to move and with the door open it will hit hard and with the door closed it will have likely have challenges.

Thoughts.

Also, does anybody have pictures of an AMP mounted under the Helm?

I had two twelves under the helm of my last Benny powered by an Alpine PDX 1.1000, and I kept a couple small soft bean bags to hold the door open when the stereo was turned up. With the door closed it did not have enough air volume. My new boat has a slightly larger area under the helm, but not by much.
