The tach on my three week old boat sporadically stops working. It will stop at zero some times or 7000 RPM other times. Any known problems with these things?

Mine reads 2 actual rpm.

Double check the connections. Sounds like loose connection.

That was my initial thought so I took a peak under the helm console but didn't find anything loose. I guess that it could be back at the engine.

Call the dealer. Why lift a finger on a new boat!! Something to have corrected in the off season.

The boat is going back to the dealer tomorrow for a few other minor things so I can have him look at it then. The problem is that it's sporadic, will not work once or twice in the same day and then will work the next day. Strange.
