Best pontoon mounts - Please share thoughts with pictures.

Looking to avoid splash back issues

Cannot see in attached example if mount is actually sandwiched or just under washer and nuts previously on yamaha mount?

Has anyone used sandwich mount but just placed mount under motor mount washers and nuts etc ??

Bennington and Power Pole both do NOT recommend engine mounts as they create drag and splashback. When running you'll likely see a wave of water coming up and around the transom or engine pod, and that bracket is right in the line of fire.

That's why these guys recommend the mount that is located directly aft of either pontoon, so it's shielded from that wave of water.

The PP mount goes under the engine but like you said you can't tell on how this guy mounted his talon. Even if you could it doesn't mean he mounted it correctly, so refer to the manufacturer's install guide.
