I have a triton tandem scissors trailer and was wondering if anyone has experience of long distance travel using one f these?

What do you consider long distances?  I used to have the exact trailer for my previous boat.  It pulled fine, but you have to be very careful while turning.  Too sharp and you can tip her over.  This happens more often than you'd think.  I never experienced any issues, but I was very conscious.

I think the scissors trailers where meant more to be used for getting boats in and out of the water and moving them around the marina and storage areas.

Not so much for long hauls.

Agree!

My dealer delivered the pontoon 230 mile to our lake and launched it for us. Of course they do it all the time. I didn't buy a trailer - just use my neighbors to put it in and out of the lake. We have a 2 toon boat though.

Exactly what was said above, dealer told us if we intend to travel anywhere w our Benny to stay away from a scissor trailer. Really just for launching, short trips and not very stable.
