Trolling motor shaft length

I’m waiting on my new Bennington 23’ LXFS with a 250 HP SHO. I will be installing a trolling motor and would like to know where you go to find the distance from the bow deck to the water line? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a 2021 Bennington LS23 tritoon with the Yamaha Vmax 250 and I installed a 36 volt 112 lb thrust Minn Kota Terrova with the 54” shaft and it works perfect on my boat

I went with a 57 inch. The depth of the trolling motor is adjustable. You can always run it up a little shallower if need be but can't add extra length later. If I were to do it over again I would keep the same length on my Garmin Force.
