What are your feelings on Vinyl flooring?

Our boat has carpet on the front 2/3 and vinyl on the aft 1/3.

Our vinyl get sooo hot that it's very uncomfortable to stand on unless you are coming out of the water or have shoes on.

What are the late 16 and 17 vinyls like and do the get hot?

Thanks

I'm fully satisfied with the Platinum Seagrass flooring on my boat. No scorched feet here.

I've got the bamboo vinyl which will get rather warm while the boat is covered. My nine year old daughter says it "burns" her feet when boarding, but it quickly cools down.

We had a pretty warm summer up in northern Michigan, but at no time did we experience what you are referring to. However, I've seen the aged teak product and given its color and solid surface, it doesn't surprise me that it gets hot. The bamboo seems to be more of a woven product, perhaps allowing air into it to help keep it cooler.

Our boat has the standard vinyl floor throughout, and I does get hot. We have a 2x15 carpet that we roll out when its hot, and it easily rolls up and stores within the boat when its not needed. I personally would never again have a boat with carpet installed.
