What is a mood light?

So for the life of me I can’t figure out what the mood light side of the switch does. It doesn’t seem to do anything with the small touch light on the side of the helm, or the LED’s in the Bimini, yet it appears to have a wire connected to the bottom of the switch. Any ideas?

Hmmm, my mood light switch controls the speaker, table and beverage holder LEDs. The wiring you see might just be for the docking lights with the mood light inoperable.

My 2017, it lights up my speakers.

Mine lights up the bimini LEDs and the push light on the helm. (but I have a push button on/off as well on the bimini frame)
