What width do I set my trailer bunks??

Picked up a new "float-on" trailer and need to know what width to set the bunks. I measured 77" center of tube to center of tube. Is this correct?? Dealer told me 78 1/2. I'm confused... thanks for any help...

You don't want to set the bunks too tight against the toons. That's how the guides and the boat get bent up. Needs to be enough room for the boats to get a little sideways but tight enough to get them into the V bunk--if that's the way your trailer's setup.
