Width of top panel strip for registration numbers?

We have a 22 SFX (has that extra railing detail) and was wondering if anyone knew the width of the top panel strip between the rails (in front of the gates on the bow, port & starboard sides)? I am trying to determine how wide it is so I can place the registration numbers within that strip. (I know the numbers have to be 3" high and measured the space for height but forgot to measure width and we're not near the boat right now).

Answer: The top panel strip is 30 1/2" wide. We ordered registration numbers that were 24" wide so it was plenty enough for numbers + state sticker. The 3" high number application just fit heightwise.
