I will show you the Pacific Ocean and Newport Bay. It was a chilly 84. The weather was brutal, so we took a ride on our bikes along the coast. Did a bit of boating by taking the ferry to Balboa Island and had Dinner at a little café where John Wayne used to frequent. The weather is so bad, I had to apply sunscreen twice. :D

Cheers, Steve

Took the Benny out today on Lake Havasu (AZ).  Beautiful day, 85 with no wind.  Needed to get a few more hours so I can get the 20 hour service done.  I'm at 19 so I'm good to go.

I wish I could enjoy temps of 70 right now

The 50's this weekend will be welcomed

Keep in mind

Due to El Nino this has been one of the mildest winters in memory

This cold streak and snow event will be a faded memory this weekend

Enjoy the amazing weather out west

I hope the rains return to get water levels up a bit more

This is what we looked like this morning after having the electricity go out from 430 AM till 130 PM

Keep in mind the house here is 100% Electric and even the Pellet Stove doesnt work without electricity (lol)

A Bit Chilly

Maybe next year we should trade homes for a couple of weeks in February  (LOL)

Wow, that white stuff gives me the chills. There is a reason I gave up hunting in Upstate New York and even in my favorite hunting grounds of Colorado. I am allergic to cold. As I tell my brother who lives in Ohio, don't watch for me in the window. However, you are always welcome out here. I'll leave a light on. I guess it is time to get rid of all my sorel's. Our snowpack is in good shape. Havasu and I will try to send you some of our weather or as Jimmy says, " I got to go where the weather suits my clothes."

Cheers, Steve

Here's a couple more pics from last weekend's three-day Rockabilly Festival.  This was my third year going.  Great time with friends and lots of awesome music.  If you ever get a chance to see this band, they are fantastic.  Johnny Cash Tribute Band, "Cashed Out."  BTW, these pics were taken with an IPhone and untouched.  Beautiful desert sunset.  Every couple of songs the band would stop and take their own pics from on the stage of the sunset.  Lake Havasu is about 100 yards directly behind them.

OK, I am officially jealous.

Spent Monday driving 9 hours through 28 degree rain.  I want to go to AZ

Randy,

That cove looks awfully familiar. The rockabilly is a hoot. Re/Bruce, come on down. The town is full of snowbirds this time of the year.

Cheers, Steve
