This is NOT in the owners manual, but I read about one shop that adds 2.5 ounces of 2 cycle oil to 1 gallon of gas (50:1) and runs the motor off this for about 15 minutes.  It supposedly helps coat the fuel system and reduces the chances of a stuck fuel pump or injectors in the spring.  Then you do all the other stuff listed in the manual.

Anyone done this?  Or have thoughts about it?  Seems like it can't hurt, and probably helps.  The gas would also have Stabil in it (which is part of the usual procedure).

Since there isn't normally oil in fuel, I'd stay away from this practice. If the factory doesn't recommend it, I can't imagine why one would do it.

Change out the old oil (and filter), replace filter and put in new oil, add recommended fuel stabilizer and run it a few minutes.
