Apparently some of the back-to-school crowd have time for too much drinking. Today a cowboy on the throttle managed to throw a passenger over the front fence of a pontoon, across the fore deck and into the water. The twin-toon ran over him. Fortunately, the "driver" pulled the throttle to idle. Residual speed carried the boat over the surprise swimmer and he ricocheted between the motor canoe and the tube to pop out the back. Two more drunks jumped in the water to help him although none of them had any flotation device and none was thrown to them. Thankfully, all did manage to get back on the pontoon.

We were about a hundred yards away and could not see any blood in the water. However, bet at least one of them has more than one reason to not feel so great tonight...

crazy.

My wife and I were out all day on Friday cruising the northern part of the lake. We saw a pontoon boat with an adult male sitting in the front doorway with his legs dangling over the bow while underway. We just shook our heads and stayed away from them! Once the kids go back to school here lake activity drops! Of course it still gets busy on the weekends. We're home then!

The problem here is that the kids ARE back to school. It's very predictable for the first couple of weeks to be party central, or until some get the message that they don't belong in the freedom of an academic situation (and that profs don't put in an appearance just to hear themselves talk).
