I have the 350 and love it. Wouldn't do it any other way. Took her out this weekend after sitting all winter and she fired right up. Haven't had any problems whatsoever. I love having 12-15 people onboard and she still flys out of the hole.
Since I bought mine from Phil Dill, they loan me a trailer to bring it in for service. I have also heard marine max will come service your boat at the slip.
It's about 8" high, so the standard 6" speaker will fit. I was just concerned about the curvature and what foam type material should be used as a gasket to fill the gaps.
I would like a little more music outside of the pontoon and I was just wondering if anyone has installed rear facing speakers in the back of the loungers. This area has a slight curve so I'm not sure how well a speaker would fit in this area.
The area I'm talking about is just left of the fake...
I frequently have 10-12 people on board my 25R, without a tower or sea legs, but I do have a 350 yamaha. I do see some performance loss due to the weight, but definitely nothing like you are describing. I'm running a 17p three blade. The dealer originally had a 19p on but the rpms were 5500...
I have the 36' slip at Hidden Cove and I'm happy with my choice. I built a 4' deck to put the dock box on the deck and have 32' of usuable slip. The entire boat/motor fits under the cover with about a foot extra overhang
If you're out at Hidden Cove, I'm in C13.
I have the 25R with the 350 outboard and I extended the teak to the back of the loungers just as you are describing. I'm happy I requested this to be done.
