I did something similar on my boat, but I used little U shaped brackets and mounted them to the bottom side of the bolts that hold the bimini mounts, and then through bolted them on the back corners. I thought for sure I had some photos of them, but can't find them. I'll dig a little harder and...
Different strokes for different folks and all, but I prefer my current RCW. I bought a pontoon for the deck space. The sloped front end looks to eat up at least a couple feet of floorspace for nothing more than a new look. And, my last boat had an arch. It had a bimini top that attached to both...
I can't help you with the fuel efficiency numbers on the IO, but I can give them to you on my outboard.
Being a bit of a tech geek, I added GPS and a mercmonitor system to my 2010 2550 RCW. I know the data it is feeding me is accurate. I have the 250 verado. I get right at 3mpg when running 18...
Same here. Being tall, my feet are a long way under water when swimming, and trying to find that first step, I always have to keep going higher and higher than I expect. It wasn't a deal breaker, but our last boat had a four step and I prefer it over the three step.
What I really need to find...
Yes, I have the same issue.
I started to look in to it as a project last winter, but never got around to doing anything. The seat posts (and bases) are made by springfield, and yes, there are different height posts available. I know this because I ordered my boat with the raised helm so the...
Same experience here. First time towing, front boot came off, and zipper on bimini broke off from being beaten around before I could stop.
My solution was to put four bungee straps on it, and a ratchet strap in the center to keep it from bouncing so much.
If I had wrap around seating up...
I've got a 2550 RCW with the 250 verado on it and was also hoping to be over 50. But, I'm topped out at 43 and change. I've tried changing motor mounting height, multiple different 3 and 4 blade stainless props, and have yet to find anything that works well for all situations. I'm currently...
Same lake, different experience. I use the box anchor and have never had an issue. Other than that dang 90ft of water depth anchoring. Times like that, I really miss my windlass. I have been really impressed by the box anchors ability.
