We've had the same boat for 2 years, love it more and more every time we take it out! The only complaint I have, and if i could do it over, the Sony (M6) stereo that came with it never worked properly. I know i probably should have addressed the issue when it first started acting up, but i...
Funny you mention this, i am in MD and I am contemplating getting individual covers for mine as well this year. I was very lazy putting the full cover on this past summer. A buddy of mine used Atlantic Custom Canvas off of Fort Smallwood road in Pasadena. He paid $900. He loves his, and I...
I used to do it this way, and then figured out that it took alot less time if put all the clip on (on both sides) do the snaps up front, then crawl under the cover after to put the poles in. I also do this on my lift and I do not have access to the starboard side on our pier. Made it alot...
My vote goes for the quick clips. The dealer threw them in for free on ours, and I am so glad that he did. I can put the cover on my boat by myself in less than 10 minutes. And taking the cover off with the clips are a breeze!
Hello Loren,
I had a similar issue on my boat last year when it was new. It turned out that the prop had bent just slightly causing the boat to shake (as you described) I would start there. I put a new prop on and that fixed the issue. I still notice that when the engine idles (with a...
I have the merc 150 on mine w/ hydraulic, and coming from an older sea ray with cable, i can without a doubt say that the hydraulic is closer to power assist. Steering that sea ray was like steering a bus with no power steering. The hydraulic on our Benny is effortless at low speed, but gets...
Hello All,
Im in MD and thinking about having ours shrink wrapped right on the lift. We do get quite a bit of snow here some years. Do you think shrink wrap is overkill or just covering it up will do the trick? I am also planning on doing all of the other "stuff" too..
Thanks for the info. After further inspection, the prop was bent, but that has nothing to do with the idle vibration. I still think there may be something up (possibly the problem that you had) but the boat runs great once in gear now that Ive put a new prop on. I am going to keep an eye...
Ive checked the prop and its fine, put brand new plugs in it. And like Big Kahuna says, it does it at idle and while moving so it shouldnt be the prop. I am going to put some stabil in today and see if that fixes it. I only use 89 (non ethanol) in the tank.....
Hey guys and gals,
Starting last weekend, i have this strange engine vibration. I changed the spark plugs thinking that was the issue, but it still vibrates more than normal. Just took it for a ride and it on a full throttle run it still hit 38 (was a bit choppy) and the vibration seemed to...
I did the ole "just look at it" thing, but I will try swapping the fuse out. I have a multimeter too that i can use to see if power is getting to the harness.
Did you ever get a solution to this issue? I am having the same problem, hit a huge rogue wave and the radio just died, my gps (its on the same accessory switch) still works but no radio. I checked the 10 amp fuse on the back of the radio (sony m6) and it was fine. I did not see an inline...
