After years of trying different methods, our local hockey area with 20 dressing rooms and their associated doors, finally found a miraculously simple way to hold the doors open. A flip up magnet anchored to the wall. Good for you WR, you found a remedy that took our town engineers years to...
I am wondering what fellow members do to eliminate the prop from spinning as they trailer their boat? I expect having it spinning will do some damage to the impeller? Would putting the motor in gear eliminate this? Input as always is appreciated!
Steep launch is problematic but BigKahuna's advice is spot on. I experienced a steep launch last summer and people thought I was nuts pulling my 22SCWX out, (perhaps). I wet the bunks as suggested and pulled forward so 3 feet of bunk was out of the water. Got the boat on the bunks and...
Spoiledrotten,
i purchased the Lowrance Elite 5 CHIRP last year which is the successor to the model you are looking at. The CHIRP technology is more advanced and gives greater detail in structure and accuracy than the HDI technology. You can do an Internet search on these which is very...
Update - noticed the motor was making oil and dipstick smelled like fuel. Pulled plug 4 and it was wet with fuel. Replaced the plug with a new one and changed the inline fuel filter as well. Idles like a champ. Will water test it in next few days. Stay tuned. Thanks to all for the help and...

Thanks for the advice. I removed the plugs to inspect. There is a coil pack on top of the plug socket which are held in place with two bolts, so unlikely I think. Bottom plug has some carbon deposit unlike others. Poor plug maybe? A few bucks worth a shot?
I am looking for some advice. I have a Yamaha vmax sho 115 on my Bennington. Winterized the motor and added stabilizer to the fuel. Here in Ontario Canada it sat for nearly 8 months. 51 hours on the clock. It fired right up out of storage and burned off the fogging oil. First run was great...
Has anyone tried a film or vehicle type wrap on their pontoons? Like some, I did not have Sharkhide applied at the factory and am not interested in maintaining that high polish look. I think this would work on the outside tunes and nosecones above the water line. If anyone has any experience...
When running the motor on land I would never use the hose hook up. The hose hook up is for flushing the motor only after use to remove sediment etc. Muffs are an absolute must as the water impeller will spin dry suffering damage not to mention potential damage to other components. Best check...
Upgraded stern loungers have the fencing area filled in where you have upgraded "reclining" stern loungers which are different. Regular stern loungers do not recline. Hope that clarifies.
