moving the boat sounds like a good plan but I doubt it will happen every time someone is in the water.

Jumping off the top deck onto the engine would certainly be a concern. If it were me I would put up some type of fence. Otherwise someone, a friend etc. may not be aware of the potential danger. Don’t disregard those who make it a challenge to jump anyway and clear the engine.

We have the 22GSR, it sticks out a foot or two from the covered lift. I haven’t had any issues. I keep a cover on my Yamaha when not used for extended periods. I enjoy our Elevated helm. Extended aft deck and power steering are highly recommended. You will not regret getting them.

We have a 22GSR tritoon with a Yamaha 150, great combination.

In my opinion the extended aft deck is a must have. Makes life much easer when boarding, tubIng, putting on cover etc. Power steering enhances the boating experience, whether it be tubing, docking etc. I wouldn’t be without it. With water sports on your agenda I’m guessing you are getting at...

I have dual batteries with power steering with no power distribution Panel. Dealer told me it was not necessary for my build.

This is why a shake out cruise with your salesman before you take delivery is so important. Let your dealer know. Probably something very simple ie motor mounting, maybe even trimmed wrong, etc.
