Yes. I know the seat is bolted through the deck. The question is, how is the gel coated helm assembly in total attached. I can’t see any fasteners inside or outside above deck. But I don’t see anywhere that fasteners attach to the perimeter of the helm at all, from above or below.
All facts. But when I open the under helm compartment, I can’t see anywhere that is wide enough for a nut to receive a bolt from below or any screws from the top. I’m pretty mechanically inclined and this has me stumped. I’m sure I’ll figure it out as I go- I’m just neurotic and like knowing and...
Hey all, apologies if it's been posted already, but I couldn't find it when I searched.
I still have the 2012 2275 GCW I bought new 13 years ago, and it's time to do some updating. The only thing I can't figure out is how to pull the raised helm off the deck so I replace the carpet with vinyl...
Those look great! I have my 5050 SMD led strips cut to length ready to install. All I need now is a little time!
Here are the same led strips on the outside of my boat. The only difference will be that my interior lighting will be on a music/sound activated controller while the outside lights...
The technology can be improved upon I'm sure. In the meantime, if you're not thrown from the boat then you'll be able to throttle down manually. If you can't do that because you're alone and had a medical issue, you're screwed anyways.
Million dollar idea: an NFC chip keyfob like he newer cars have. Only instead of allowing the starting of the boat when it's in the area, it kills the boat if it is not near it. Keep it in your pocket or on your wrist, and boom! If you fall out, it senses that the fob isn't in proximity and it...
No, that battery switch will become a battery disconnect. Just read the instructions when you get the unit before you take anything out of the box and you'll be fine. And don't shorten any of the wires! (You'll see what I mean)
I recommend emailing them with your length of power cable run and they can prescribe the appropriate gauge of wire. Maybe won't make a difference if it's under your rear seat near the motor, but I moved my house batteries under the helm.

Here are the instructions. I've been in contact with their engineers, and you can hook the alternator side up to the house battery and have it combine to the starter battery. If I were to do over that's how I would wire it. The reason is, starters...

The only advice I can offer is spend the $65 and get a battery combiner. Then all you have to worry about is turning it off at the end of the day. Your house and starter batteries stay separated when the motor is off and combined when running... automatically! I love mine...
If you have the power steering option already it's really easy to tap in and add autopilot. We use it on fishing boats with outboards and it's really slick.
