    I have decided on a 24 SFX, but can't decide on the express, SPS, or elliptical. The boat will be used for mainly cruising and fishing on a fairly rough lake. Any thoughts?

    What size motor are you thinking?  It all comes down to your usage, not just now but in the future. You can't go wrong with sps, it gives you great handling, stable ride, and definitely a much higher resale value.  The three toons also help with cutting through the rough waters. The ellipticals are also supposed to be great, everyone who has them love them. If I'm being honest, I've never been a huge fan of the express tube. It definitely has its place in the Bennington lineup, as it definitely helps a lot in the right conditions.

    We are getting a Merc 150. I heard the ellipticals are a little different in hard turns. I really want an increase in speed from what I have now plus stability, especially when fishing. Thanks for your input.

    Well, new to boating, still don't have it anywhere near to knowing what I'm doing. Was faced with the decision of buying a motorcycle or boat, decided on the boat (obviously) because I thought it would be better for my family. Which consists of my wife and I and our two Rodesian Ridgebacks, Gibson and Lulu.
