thank you !!IMO, if you will be using the trailer often, go with a bunk trailer and make sure you have safety straps. Mine has 4 straps, two at each end, plus the winch strap. Others will respond, but with your setup I would guess you will have a total length with the motor around 30 feet. I have a Yacht Club steel trailer with brakes that has worked for me, but many good quality trailers are available. If you are salt water boating, you might want to avoid a steel trailer.
Forgot to say Congrats on your new Bennington. Great boat!
thank you !I spent a LOT of time on this topic: Answer depends on frequency of use, travel distance & proximity to tow service (disk or drum brakes & # of spare tires, Tool box for jack), Lake Wind (guides), age (easy access front ladder), water type (galvanized, painted, drain holes), storage space (break-away trailer tongue), and budget. See my posts on the topics, I got some great feedback (of course) from members (remember the search feature in the upper right corner is your friend).

Custom Trailer Arrived!
So my custom trailer finally arrived: Dual Axel, dual Hydraulic over Electric Disc brakes, between Toon slanted loading bunks, dual spare tires, gear box, custom ladder. Wow, did the loading bunks make is east to load with some wind! The front tongue weight was over 1,000 lbs, but I had the...club.benningtonmarine.com
thanks, I have enough truck, not going to do salt water but want a trailer that I can travel with if needed. mainly short distance {apron 20 miles} thank you everyone for in put, I will be sure my brother joins this site, he just purchased a new Benny with a 300 hp motor.I have a 2008 2575 RCW I/O . When I bought the boat used, it had a piece of crap trailer that was dangerous. I only pulled the boat about 12 miles a year and the trailer broke down every year. I bought a Boatmate trailer 5 years ago and it is a world of difference. It is expensive but a great value. Real world experience. I tow a 22" Bennington to Canada every year. Last ten years with the Bennington on a Hooser Trailer. 30 years before with different boats. 1200 mile round trip. It tows great with my Ford Expedition Max. I just picked the 2575 from storage last Saturday and towed the 6 miles to the dock and it is a a** puckering experience. The trailer is great but the boat is so heavy that my truck is marginal. It handles well but there is no safety margin when towing that boat. It also is 32 feet long from prop to hitch. i just measured for a new storage barn for it. It does have a tongue that pivots that saves 2 feet of length.
Just be aware that towing that large a boat will be a challenge. Be safe and enjoy.
