FWIW: My dealer does not charge to determine if an item is warranty or not. Have you pushed back on that as I do not believe this is normal.My dealer charges $40 dollars to determine if the item is a warranty issue or not.
That is exactly how it looks to me too. Looks like the peal off plastic was left on, heated up, melted and bubbled a bit. But if in fact the actual screen itself, or under the screen itself, that should be an easy head unit warranty replacement.That looks like the protective plastic that is removed after installation.
