2025 College Football

Regardless of the outcome, IU has come to play. What a game so far. That missed FG by OSU with 2:48 left is HUGE......

We enjoyed the BigTen Championship. Low scoring, but hard fought. Excited to see IU win the game, be BigTen Champions and go into the playoffs ranked #1 in the country. Excited for Hoosier Nation!

Cannot beat home field advantage in northern outdoor stadiums for the playoffs. Time to come up north and really have to earn some W’s while battling both your opponent and the weather.

What do you think Bill? Does JMU have a chance to make some noise in the playoffs?!?

As a Notre Dame fan, I must chime in and say how disappointed I was with the final choices, clearly not the best 12 teams in the playoffs, Tulane and JMU have no place there other than being scripted in under a disastrous contract, Disney/ESPN have far too much control over these choices, Alabama, this year are not worthy of a spot either, that SEC game clearly showed that.

Absolutely!
I just watched Illinois St knock off the Bison. A game that was basically a formality, never really any realistic chance of anything other than a NDSU win. So yes it can happen. It's not likely and JMU has to play a near perfect game and hope the Ducks help them out and crap the bed. But I'm here to tell you....it happens!!!

All that said, Good Luck! Bison fans want you to pull it off!

This was clearly nothing more than the NCAA sending Notre Dame a message....Join a damn conference! That all this was.

We'll see! Gotta play the game on the field right?!? It'll be a like a #16 seed playing a #1 seed in March Madness!

FWIW, Illinois St wasn't even in the 16 teams seeded. They were considered the last (24th) team in.

GO GET 'EM!!!!!

Any thoughts about Bob Chesney (formerly of James Madison) as the new UCLA head coach? With a team that needs a major overhaul and cultural shift, seems this "turnaround specialist" might finally be a good move for the team!?

I honestly do not know enough to comment on him?

Wowza, what a crapstorm going on @ Michigan!!!
Who will take on that mess? Brian Kelly? He doesn't seem to have any other options?

Another JMU Head Coach leaving for greener pastures!!!

What a disaster at Michigan. Good Lord. Jimmy H has to be wondering what the hell is going on.

I played my final season at Michigan Tech in 1994 and we played a Brain Kelly head coached Grand Valley team for the first time and got our ass's handed to us. His team was formidable. We had no answers both on offense and defense in that game. They were just better prepared then us. Even watching from the sidelines in 1995, and 1996, they were machines. As a Graduate Assistant in 1995 at our home field, we gave them the best run we could. They ended up winning in a shootout 54 to 52.
I think the only time MTU beat GVSU was in 1984 if memory serves me correct.

In 2004, MTU played Grand Valley at the Big House in AA to try and set the D2 attendance record but fell short at 52K vs 61K which was set in 1979 at the Big House with Slippery Rock and Shippensburg University. Brian Kelly was the head coach in that game as well.

The guy sure has made a name for himself. Going from a D2 school to a MAC school, to D1 Cincy, ND, and LSU, the guy knows how to win.

I would not mind him coming to Michigan.

I meant to post this the other night..... It was fun to see JMU on the national stage but the Defense just couldn't hang with Oregon despite having 2 interceptions. I watched a press conference with Oregon's coach and he said he was disappointed with the turnovers and how his defense played in the 2nd half. He kept the starters in to keep them sharp for the next round but they lost focus and gave up points and over 500 yds of offense! He credited JMU for not giving up and continuing to play for 4 quarters! Oh sure the game was never in jeopardy for Oregon but at least JMU made it respectable! This game can only help JMU as far as recruiting and attracting better talent to Harrisonburg! We'll see how Oregon does against Texas Tech......

This will help UCLA possibly more since UCLA gets the JMU coach, OC, DC and a bunch of transfers that will follow the coach.

You're exactly right! When Curt Cignetti left JMU to take the head coaching job at Indiana he took 13 players and 12 assistant coaches with him!!!

That should not be allowed! I HATE it!

Great game!!! Was pulling for Ole Miss though!!!

Clearly pass interference on the last play, but they will never call that in that situation. May not have mattered anyway, but we will never know. For the record, Malachi Toney is one hell of a freshmen receiver. Hope to see them play Indiana.

Agreed. Fantastic game. Was pulling for Ole Miss too in that one, but not as vested either way. Didn’t have a problem with Miami as a ACC team taking out a SEC team. ;)

Pretty cool for Miami to make it to the championship and have home field advantage. Goodness!!! Regardless, guaranteed to have a BigTen team up against them.

Pulling for IU tonight. Let’s go Hoosers!

I felt good about Indiana tonight. However, I didn’t expect this game to be such a lopsided blowout. Indiana is looking unstable going into the championship. With Miami playing at home, and Indiana looking so dominate, the national championship should be a great game.
