Anyone have lengths of a 2250 GSR or similar boat on a trailer, and know what the Total overall length is? I am considering getting a trailer for the boat, building a garage for it. I know the boat is 24'6" without outboard, add about 2'6" for the outboard. so that is ~27 feet. Im guessing about 4 feet for the trailer tongue, total of 31 feet?

Thoughts opinions, anything. Not sure how to make sure I make the garage deep enough...

I believe I have found the information. Appears it would be about 33-34' overall :eek: . I guess I will need a 36' foot deep garage

I would go with 40' so you have room to move.

My 2275RCW with the Verado tilted down is ~35' on a Mid-America PT24T trailer. My storage barn is 36' deep  :blink: Time to expand!

Yup, my 2275RCW is about 33 1/2 feet from tip to tail. If your garage will be setup so you simply back it straight up through the door and straight back then you can get away with it not so long,38-40. I would have to angle mine a little in the garage I someday plan to build so I would want it 45 deep. That gives you the ability to swing it in and around a little.

Thanks for the responses. Unfortunately my setup is limited to the township ordinance and also my house is down from the road. I would love a 30 x 40, but town will only allow a 30x30. Unless I want to go discuss with them for a variance and use up ALL of my street side lot.

Derrick, I believe our boats are the same overall length, but you have a custom trailer. Still from everyones notes, it looks like 36 is going to be the min and max :( ..... Maybe I need to move south where there is more open land. 3/4 of an acre aint cutting it

Bamama, I hear ya. I am really concerned of getting the truck/trailer down my drive. Its steep, downhill and tight :eek: ......

I would ask for a variance. Keep in mind, if your building is 30x35, if you do 2x6 construction you are losing a foot or more of space. Might as well try and make it usable if at all possible. If/when I can ever build mine I need multiple variances. From the province because of its proximity to the highway, from the Municipality for size, height, and because it would be located in front of the house(not blocking the house, it is a wide lot so just closer to the frontage than house)

You can also install a swing away tongue hinge. That might get you a couple extra feet.

Thanks Derrick and Semper;

Yeah, I am trying to maximize the size as much as I can and hoping to get it to 30x36.

I for sure will have a break away tongue, to gain that extra space.
