Picked up two thick drops of what appears to be Tree Sap on my swing back...

Looks like it probably sat for a couple of weeks...

Warm water with Dawn didn't do the trick...

Does anyone have experience with Sap?

TIA

Mike

I left a ski life jacket next to my SimTex and the heat from being under the cover resulted in melting the emblem into the fabric. SimTex responded that the heat resulted in bonding the two items and the only option was to recover the area. Hopefully you have better luck.

If heat bound them, and replacement is “only” option, Id try heat and gorilla duct tape to un-bind them. I’d heat the area up, stick the gorilla duct tape to it and pull. Repeat as many times as necessary. What do you have to lose? I’d use Gorilla duct tape as it’s SUPER STICKY!

If replacement is the only option I would be willing to try a couple of things first. Goof Off and Goo Gone are two products that work on many "sticky" items. You could give them a try, putting some on a white cloth and trying to only touch the area with the sap so as to ensure you don't damage the SimTex frabric and further.
