Need some help with Boat Dimensions…
Designing a new house with garage boat storage and needing to know what size the garage door should be for clearance. Height and width. Unfortunately, my boat is in storage and unable to get to it (snowing here) to measure exactly… Can anyone help? I have a S series pontoon with 115 Yamaha…Best buy I’ve made!

You are going to want a 10 x 10 door minimum. That's what mine is. And it's fine with bimini down in trailering position. Not overly roomy, but fine. And 40 feet long. 35 feet would be crowding it.

Mine is 12 ft wide ,10ft high . Not all trailers are the same height , dont forget to include the tongue when measuring LOA .

If you’re pretty good at backing, 10’ wide will work but obviously, 12’ will be easier.

Swing away tongue can save 12-18” on depth. I was going to get one for my small garage.

As others have eluded, the X-Factor is the trailer. I am with a couple others, if you can go a little bigger, then you have more flexibility in backing it in and moving around it.

FWIW, I have a 8 foot tall garage door and my SX series sneaks in with about 2" to spare at the windshield, the bimini needs to be off the support struts and all the way down to get in.
