Chicago Boat Show

I am not able to attend any boat shows this year :(  so give us some pix TomS

Had the Key Lime Pie Festival Saturday and plans for today as well. 


Wait a minute I am making up excuses, the real reason is I am scared, real scared.  I promised KP I would not buy a boat for FL, that I would go through our first winter in Florida and see how the weather is and to determine just how much we would use it.

We were going to go to this one, but couldn't pass up a three day weekend at the cottage.  How was the Lansing Boat Show?

Always the smallest one in the state. But my grandson has sensory issues and the smaller the better for him. He kind of freaks out when he boards a boat only to learn there are other people there. He likes to have a boat to his own.


I do the Detroit and GR shows, but the Lansing show is "our"boat show. Wilson Marine had a few Bennies.
 
It's nice you guys have a smaller show you can enjoy together. I've never been to the Lansing boat show. Always jetted down to the D.
 
Hi Guys ! So took the family to the Chicago Boat Show over the weekend. WOW ! Take a day if there is a Boat Show near you Go! Of course the Bennington Boats are the best of show. But nice to see what the other have to offer, even speed boats are fun to look at. Looking  in the Winter is not quit like floating in the Summer but it kinda fills the gap.
 
Yeah, went to Annapolis show in fall. Saw some neat options on competitor boats, but poor execution. One neat thing was a flip open tray on top of helm .... but it used a FACE MOUNTED piano hinge. Looked like redneck engineering. Seating looked nice from distance, but with closer inspection, vinyl looked really cheap. The competition showed more "bling" but the Bennington were definitely top notch in the "quality" dept.
