So my custom trailer finally arrived: Dual Axel, dual Hydraulic over Electric Disc brakes, between Toon slanted loading bunks, dual spare tires, gear box, custom ladder. Wow, did the loading bunks make is east to load with some wind! The front tongue weight was over 1,000 lbs, but I had the axels mounted to an adjustable system so on our next visit I will be able to make the needed adjustments with a few hours of work (unbolt, slide, drill new holes, re-bolt - they provided enough brake line to accommodate movement). For around town - absolute overkill - but for long hauls back to California or Lake Powell - and loading in the wind - this will ensure the BEST towing experience possible! It's a beast, no idea yet what it weights. Yes, 10% of the boat price, but less than the engine! : $11K.

I figure they had to be about 15. Will ride better for sure. Maybe not so good for shallow entry and exit, but worth the risk imo.
Great point about shallow entry - here in Havasu that is not an issue, but I can see other places we have plans to go it might be! Now, after having to push our Benny for 200 yards off the sandbar, I figure we can always give it a good shove off the trailer....LOL.

Wow, what an awesome trailer. Built great for the trips you make. It sounds like Lake Havasu can be windy.

Yes, that is one sweet trailer. Maybe overkill, but would love to have that thing hooked to the back of my new RAM 2500.

LOL - YEP..... next project on list is to replace my 07 Ford Expedition.....but that will be a few years!

It looks like, in the picture with spare tires, that the front left bottom of the toon is bottoming out on the trailer and is all bent up on the bottom. Illusion ??

Illusion, easily clears trailer. I do need to raise the center bunks, they are about an inch low.

We looked to replace our 2008 Ford Expedition. But it runs so good, easily tows our boat and it only just turned 90000 miles. Not even broke in yet! We priced Escalades, Tahoe's, and Expeditions at $70-$80k on up. I think we'll stick with what we got for now!

better off buying a new Q

I can tell you that if you drive the 2018-2021 Expeditions, You probably would want one. They are a huge improvement over the 2015 I used to drive. I am waiting on the 2022 model which you can not order yet. It's not a new generation but a remodel.
They do cost less than the boats. Was at the dealer, on the floor was a 25' R with 300HP. MSRP was $168,000.

W.O.W! Now, that’s a trailer!!
