Well I’ve been wanting to replace the fencing on my old 2001 Bennington 2575 FS for quite a while now and just finished it up. And yes it was a lot of work! I bought the boat 3 years ago as a fixer upper and this was my last big ticket item to fix. My boat was the older style with the panels on the outside being held in place with a thin aluminum lip on the top, bottom and both ends. I bent the lips out to remove the old panels and they just started cracking at the seams. At that point I decided I would remove the outside lips on the whole boat and move the new panels to the inside like the new boats. To me it looks better and is also more protected. We went with a color called caribou brown and really like it. I know it would have cost me a fortune to have the job done, but I feel good knowing I did it myself and have some sweat equity invested!
