The rest was awesome. skiing and etc. Water temp 78 and air temp 85 and sunny..

ouch ......  :(

Yeah, I doubt that trick will work. Looks like more of a crease than a "dent" .........

Insurance co replaced mine ,with less damage than that . Mine was a hit & run at our "old" marina

Unfortunately. aluminum is really hard to work with. Dents and creases can't be removed. You probably spend 99% of your time looking at the deck, so enjoy the boat, and forget the dent.  You might want to adjust your vehicle's right mirror so you can see the trailer wheels when towing.

Water temp 78 and air temp 85 --  I don't think you were in Saratoga Lake NY in Oct with those temps   ;)

Dang on the dent.... I got a big one on my port side fence this summer... oh well...it still floats....life goes on.....

Sorry about the dent, Moving Forward, but that could have been worse. You could have looked back there and seen a rip that long in the metal. Ouch! Glad it wasn't more than that. I'd be sick about it. I had busted lower unit gears on a recent outing, which wasn't good. But $2500.00 later, it was just like new.

First off I'm very sorry that happend That sucks big time. Becuase unfortunatly unless you replace that toon that dent is gonna be their forever.

OMG the Compressed Air and Hair Dryer MYTH!!!!! LOL

I doubt Anyone EVER has poped out a Dent out of a Bennington pontoon using the Hair Dryer and Compressed air Fairy Tail.

I have a dent on the inner nose cone of my Q that I got when I tangled with the trailer.  The dent is very minor and if any dent could be removed this is a good candidate. And just for giggles I'll do and video the process to show how well it works or dosent work.  :)

I so want to be wrong! But I simply can't do much about physics.

Yikes! Yes, an insurance claim may be in your future. I'd first start with an estimate and figure out what your deductible is, and then make a decision as to whether to file a claim. Good luck!

On 2014 a 2375 RCW Port side was just under $3500.00 in the fall of 2014 ,paid by insurance ( hit & run )

Hey what would you guys think about a Dent removal specialist?? .  This is just me personally. But if I had a Dent like The Orignal poster,  posted and a New toon with install was 4K installed I would pay 2k no problem to have that dent removed. But this is just me. I want to know what you think.

The reason I ask is just seeing what people think it's worth?

I was thinking of a business that specializes in Aluminum Pontoon Boat Dent removal. It would require about 5 -10 k in tools and specialized training to get up and running. For now it's such a small un knowen industry, I could see that a tech would have to fly all over the county and come to you to do this kind of work. It's a completely different process then traditional Paintless Dent removal. Just wondering what you guys think the market would bare.

Lets say you could have a guy show up and make your pontoon dent damage go away with out having to replace your pontoon or take your boat to a dealer and risk additional Dammage with replacment, you think the maket would bare let's say a 2k repair bill on the damage above?

You're probably already over it, it is a good reminder to watch what the hell you are doing.  Lets go boating!

I don't see dentless repair working. Cars have access, limited, but still easy access to most locations on the body. A pontoon, nowhere near the access needed, at least not without removing the toon and drilling access holes. I'd say, don't quit your day job yet......  :D

Removing a dent in a aluminum pontoon is impossible at any cost. Aluminum doesn't react to straightening like steel. If you heat it it may melt. You don't want to put any body filler in either. It might be possible to cut the pontoon open so you could work the dent out from inside but the cost would run into the thousands.

Royal4- just moved down here in September to Matthews NC. Only had my boat out on Saratoga in June this and then stored it until I brought it down on my final trip in late September. So trying to have my summer now as long as the weather holds do here. So far so good. I did miss now running the lake up north while the leaves were turning. Wife and my favorite times on the lake.
