Great performance new Yamaha 200!

Got my new 24 SSLX today with the new Yamaha 200 and I must admit I am very impressed! After hour 2 (of course) I was able to hit 43.6 @5900 RPM with 4 adults and a full tank! I have the new extended bow which I thought may add drag and keep me under 40MPH which was where I hoped to be, but I was happily surprised! I had never owned a pontoon and it is crazy to have such a big boat move so fast. I just sold my 70 MPH Skeeter for the good of the family but now I don't feel as bad for some reason! Now I see why some of you guys put the big motors on there and I would be right there with you if it weren't for the big bucks! I must say I am very pleased with my new boat!

Glad you're so happy, those are some impressive numbers bonhomme.  Pontoon boats have come a long way in just the last 5 years

I assume you're running a Yamaha Reliance Prop?  15 pitch or 17 pitch?  Is your motor sitting down on the transom, or is it sitting up 3/4" (1 notch).
