Anyone gone Gunkholing before???

Ha ha ha.  If you own a boat, you have gone gunkholing.  If not, we need to have a talk about why you have a boat...

Never heard this word until stumbling across it online.  Just curious if anyone has ever heard it before.  It must be common in some part of the US, but never heard it mentioned on this forum before.

Happy New Year, and may all your summers be full of Gunkholing!

I may finally be on the trail of a name for our boat with this word.  Especially appropriate given the conditions of our local reservoir, right Jared?

Hmmm.... Fits us to a "T". We are cove seekers, plus when water allows us, I tend to back the toon up into the coves/creeks as far as possible. I usually stop when I see the mud start kicking up. Pretty easy with less than probably 12" of draft with this toon.

gunk, check, hole, check. Yup, fits our poopond perfectly!!!
