Thank you. As a gift to myself my wife and I are just headed out the door, have the toon all packed for an overnight camping trip on Lake Sakakawea and am taking my 1st day off from working out in 6 months and 9 days, since January 10 when I was tipping the scale at 282 I have lost 70 lbs and 2 pant sizes now at 212 and am feeling almost as good as I did 25 years ago. made a life style change and a diet change by cutting out most grains and dairy products.

I do Dr. Davis's "Wheat Belly" thing myself - no wheat/grains, very low sugars, with similar results as yours, lost 65-70 lbs and have kept it off for 2 years. Glad I did!
 
Congrats on your sticking with it. I gotta get back into it. I lost 50 but gained back about 20 (junk food). Time to get serious again. Enjoy your time away !!

I sat in on a seminar he put on in Salt lake city at the Young living essential oils conference a few weeks ago and it was an eye opener, I knew a lot of what he talked about but he took it sooo much farther and opened my eyes. That is what I am doing now, actually got his wheat belly book as well.

There is another great book along the same lines called "Why We Get Fat". Same story talking about history of food intake and how the food itself has changed, caloric intake myths, etc. Great read, highly recommended.
