We use a dropcam up at the cabin. It works on all the devices and sends out a reminder if there is too much motion or sound in the area. There is less than a second in delay. I find myself pulling up the app to check out the boat before I even get out of bed in the morning. It sure keeps the anxiety down when the boat is an hour away!

You can get them a ton of places. If you search for Dropcam on Amazon they have them for $199. You can also buy the outdoor protector for it. Then just plug it into an outlet and connect it to your WIFI and BLAM. You can also pay for 7 day recording so you can go back to any point in time to see if something happened. They even offer 30 day. Also, I'm not trying to promote or sell the Dropcam, just super impressed by it!

I have been using the Foscam Wifi cameras for a few years.  I have a camera at my dock, one heading down the canal, one on my driveway and a fourth at my front door.  They send me an email when motion is detected. ">http:// ">http:// ">http://

That last picture looks like a member of ISIS is taking a fishing break! I need to look into one of these. Problem is the boat is pretty far from the house. How is the zoom?

The foscams are weather proof, so they are mounted outside.  I had to piggy back a second Wifi router to be able to extend my Wifi to reach my dock.  These don't have a zoom, but they do have cameras with that function, but they get a little more pricey.  These were less than $90 each, I think.  The infrared night pictures are not very good.

It's on a locked up trailer in my yard with a vicious 6lb Maltese guarding it. Oh and the wife has an itchy trigger finger too!

I sit on the screen porch and look at my Benny sitting in a boat house.

And sometimes I go down and lay in the sunbed--and take a nap.
Mine is Truly High Tech

Two Led Spot Lights beam on it at night

I watch it from my deck or inside the house

I can watch mine from my balcony as it sits in the marina under a light.
