That looks like the miserable mile in Cape Coral?Started out as a great day then this happened. Went to eat at a restaurant when we went back to the boat i noticed it was listing to the port. Went home put on lift and water was pouring out of the port toon. Only 8 months old. I know things happen but very disappointing.View attachment 23936 View attachment 23936 View attachment 23939 View attachment 23940
I was, you just can't see it in the picture.Oh ok. Thought you were trying to show the water draining ...
I know way to many boats. You know it. Way to many boats out yesterday.
Yes, it was a cracked weld. Dealer repaired it. Did cost me $159.00. Bennington says it's my responsibility to get the boat to the dealer. Since i don't have a trailer i had to meet the dealer at the ramp.
Is the dealer close to the ramp they met you at? If no, then I can appreciate them charging to transport. However, if remotely close the ramp, I am rather shocked they didn’t write off the transportation fee - if they are close by.)
They are about 15 miles away, the kicker is i service all there propeller repairs. I thought they would wave it also. It was owned by a local father & son but sold to a out of state large company. The service manager tried but no luck. Maybe i'll just add a little to each prop repair. ( just kidding,we don't operate that way)
I agree also. When I first read the post I thought it was a deductible maybe for the repair - not transportation. Is the dealer close to the ramp they met you at? In my opinion Bennington should have covered the entire cost of the weld AND tranportation. If it wasn't for the faulty weld you wouldn't have needed the dealers help to transport your Benny to be repaired.Yes, it was a cracked weld. Dealer repaired it. Did cost me $159.00.
