Hello. I have a 2020 Bennington 22SL in central Washington. We don’t get rain usually during the boating months and store in in a garage during winter.
Mooring cover finally failed and the best solution to replace is $1,900 OEM cover then pay for snaps to be put on from dealer or buy from online supplier (Tunay, Undercover Canvas, Geneva, etc). We keep the boat always covered when not using which keeps the interior immaculate.
I was debating whether to buy a new cover or invest in a canopy. Does canopy cover provide solid protection (dust notwithstanding), especially from the sun?
We have a water (hydro with pump) based lift that was made locally in central Washington. The sun hits the boat all afternoon (~8 hours), during peak of summer. We get regular winds off the lake (8-13 mph) and birds like to fly over, but don’t often leave any gifts to clean.
Appreciate the feedback, ideas and any names of suppliers for one or both options. Thank you!
