MOTOR WELL TRANSOM COVER.....

Morning All......
I just took delivery on our new 2025 Bennington LXSBB......
Absolutely love the boat, but worried about the area around the motor while installing the boat cover....
I am worried that it is very possible to "fall through" the area around the motor, has anyone else had issues with this?
I am 70 yrs. old, and worry about my footing around the large opening......

It's been brought up a few times .
Some members have made a cover. You can do a search in the upper right corner.

I didn't find anyone who had made their own.....there is a dealer at Lale of the Ozarks who sells an insert, supposedly partnered with Bennington, but the price is $525.00....thanks nuts!

$525 - I would buy that, especially if installed. I estimate it would take me at least 20 hours to design, procure, build, and install.
 
Have fallen into that well a few times, hurts like hell and you can end up donating a skin graft to the transom in the process. Have had guests who had one too many lemonades fall in as well.

Would be nice if someone could build something similar to a pool cover. Just enough give to allow the engine to tilt in, but supportive enough to keep a leg from dropping in.
