I am taking my boat from fresh water lake to Ft Myers brackish water (salt)  What shoukld I do to prevent the damages that I have heard of.  I had hoped to keep the boat at a dock in our marina for the season 6 months
 
Salt water anodes. Solid keels are recommended so critters don't make their home inside the keels.

I WOULD find a good dealer to paint the toons with PROPER ANTI FOULING PAINT.... ie:NO COPPER IN THE PAINT!!!
 
"Not a good idea."   Unless the boat is saltwater ready. I've see boats that have oxidized under the playpen paint and lifted the paint Plus if not careful will oxidize the toons Use plenty of anodes.
