Pricing a Bennington

I am currently looking at purchasing my first pontoon boat/Bennington.  I am looking at the 22SCWX or 22SCX.  Any thought on how much markup is on these boats or how much a dealer will come off the listing price?
 
Depends on your market, time of year and size of your dealer. I know that is pretty vague but there is no hard percentage. I'd say 18% off is probably average based on what msrp is vs. what some have paid. We don't typically go into specifics though on what people pay. If you are happy with the deal that is all that matters.
 
Thanks for your response...  Some folks have said anything from 20-28% from other sources.  Bennington is a top of the line pontoon so I just wanted to go straight to a good source.  Good info.....
 
Before ordering my new Benny I researched this forum for that same question. Seems like between 15 - 20% off msrp is pretty standard. My deal fell right in that target. I was happy with my deal and I think that's what matters if your happy make the deal. Good luck!
 
Yes, several recent posts discussing what you might expect to pay so do a search. Just as important is properly outfitting your boat to match your anticipated usage. Spend some time researching this site as there is a lot of great information. Also, feel free to ask questions!

Factors such as where your dealer is located due to shipping costs and dealer volume make giving a single number percentage off difficult.  I would agree with the 15% - 20% number

Great choice the 22SCWX!! Hope you get the deal you want/or what you are comfortable with. You will love the Benny.
 
Just remember, the S comes in at a lower price point so there may not be as high a discount as a more expensive model. As I stated in the other thread, there's less fat (profit) to trim. Dealer purchasing, shipping distance, load size all play in on the discount factor. 
 
I have a 2014 24SCWX Love it ! Lounge seats in the back perfect for the women and captain chairs in the middle for the men. Swimming deck on the back of the boat perfect for the kids .  Nice Boat !

We have a 2017 24' S-series on order ourselves.  Based on this forum and other websites, we went in thinking no deal unless we can negotiate 20% or more off MSRP (with our fingers crossed hoping to squeeze a few more % off if possible). We were willing to shop around until we got it.


We spent a lot of time at it (ALL FALL), but were able to take advantage of a great fall sale, the time of the year as sales slowed, and the fact we had another boat we were about to get at over 20% off at another dealership.  These things contributed to us getting well above 20% off MSRP on a 2017 S-series at a great dealership near our cottage. There is fat to be trimmed, even on the s-series.


If you politely stick to your guns, and shop around, I am confident you can find the right deal in the right boat.  Good luck with negotiations and your purchase!
 
Vikingstaff is right.  In sales, there is ALWAYS somebody that wants to deal with you.  It's out there.... you just have to find it.
