Hi! New, first time Bennington owner. I ordered a 2022 22' sxsb with sps package and 200 sho. It came in A few weeks ago but found a few problems. Cracked boat trailer frame, missing snaps on back rail for mooring cover and missing under skirting at back of boat. A couple questions. 1) why does the title say sxsbsp. Is sp short for sps. 2) the dealer put on a yam reliense prop 15m × 14.5. That just doesn't seem right for a good all around prop. Just trying to get as much knowledge before i bring these up.

Congratulations on the new boat. Exciting! Hopefully you can get the Trailer, mooring cover snap, and questions about the rear under-skinning addressed and taken care of easily. As for your two questions:

(1) Not sure what the additional sp at the end of your model designation actually means. Hopefully someone else will. They’ve tweaked some of that the last couple of years. The only thing I can say is it shouldn’t have to do with abbreviating SPS. The hull type isn’t part of the model designation. Like you, I would have expected it to simply be an SXSB…not SXSBSP.

(2) We have a sub-forum for this: “Members Zone: Props and Power”. The first stickied thread is “List Your Specs Here” - link below:

List Your Specs Here

Browse through to find the S-series SPS hull boat with 200HP SHO’s. See what people are putting on them and what their performance numbers are with It. I do not think the Reliance is a good match at all for your boat. Seems to be a basic low to mid performance prop.

With a 200 SHO, I would want to maximize my motor upgrade. I would go with an Enertia prop and hub personally, or and SDS II. I have a 200 Mercury Verado, 24’ SSBXP SPS hull. My 16p Enertia prop has been a great performer, and everyone in here that has one really likes it. Good performance range and not bad slip at all.
