Question on securing boat to dock

OK I am dumb...how do you tie your boats to the dock, best way to make the knot not slip loose.

Carl posted the fastest and easiest knot there is.... can't go wrong there. Just make sure you start your lead around the cleat just as pictured on the far end.

Also, tying the knot is 1/2 the equation. Tying the boat "to" the dock is the other half to prevent damage to your boat or your neighbors boat.

I usually tie a second "locking" hitch at the end of the knot Carl posted, if I'm going to leave the boat for any length of time.
