Finally got a chance to use this Father's day gift from the family. I will say, what a great job it did scrubbing the hull on our fiberglass boat. WIsh I would have known about this tool when we had our pontoon boat. Sure beats using a scrub brush or a 3M scotch brite pad to remove the scum line off the hull or toons.

My fiberglass boat sat 2.5 weeks at the dock, and we got out the to sand bar this weekend and I used it to clean the hull. Removed all the scum lines with very little effort.

I used the "blue" soft brush for fiberglass gelcoat but could see where the "yellow" might be better on Aluminum toons to remove stubborn stain lines.

It extends to over 4 feet and you can submerge it to 3 feet deep as the battery compartment is sealed with rubber o ring gasket etc. Uses standard 18V Ryobi batteries.

Just a FYI for those looking to get rid of manually scrubbing your toons. Even has a tank for soap and or cleaner with a nozzle that is at the head of the brush.

Thanks Todd ,Im going to take a look at one of those .

Is that interchangeable with the long and short handle ? I can see me using the long handle on the outsides and the short when I get underneath.
Thanks Todd .

When we kept our boat in the water we used to take time out every time we went out to clean the water line and under the toons! Didn't take long! We just worked it in part of the day! Plus we didn't want it to accumulate! This would have made it easier!

Curious about the answer to this too.

Thanks Mtudb24 for the info on the Ryobi Telescoping power scrubber. I picked one up the other day and took it to lake with me yesterday. It works nicely. While at the sandbar cleaning the scum off the toons I had two people inquire about it. They said they are going to get one too.

I assume this is just for organic growth versus oxidation / hard water deposits, correct?

Plus the head is adjustable so it works on various angles of your hull or on the toons. Sure beats scrubbing each trip to the sandbar with a dual yellow and green scotch brite pad. Its only for alge / scum build up and not hard water spots etc.
