Noticed a small 2 inch, almost surgical slice on the port side of my bimini. Not sure how it got there, or what exactly caused it. Any thoughts on what I should do to repair it, or have it repaired? Thanks in advance!

If you never used it prior to this, you might contact your dealer and notify them you found it when you opened the top.

They may cover it, they may not.

If not, take it to a local upholstery shop (easy to remove) an they can probably sew it up "almost" as good as new.

Your dealer should replace it for you. I had ours replaced for the same reason.

I had the same thing happen. It went through the boot(protective cover case) and the Bimini. Found that even though my boat was on an air lift, as they adjusted the dock with rising and falling lake levels that my back protected Bimini was actually touching and rubbing the roof causing what looked like a surgical cut. As a result I have lowered the back Bimini in the lowest setting when leaving the boat docked for a week or more. Bottom line, I plan to buy a new Bimini and keep it lowered when not at the dock.
