Does anybody have a problem unsnapping the cover because of the salt air.

I was unsapping the cover and they were so tight two of them pulled apart. Then I took WD40 and a Q-tip to each snap that worked for a while, but does anybody have a longer term solution

Thank you

Kurt

Thank you cwag911 I'm going to get one they look to work good. That salt water and air are rough on things.

Thanks again

They make snap lubricant or use just a slight dab of Vaseline. Remember just a very light touch or you'll have a mess.

Chap stick works great and is dry to the touch, I've been using it on my truck cover for years

We use Vaseline or chapstick to lubricate snaps and I bought a 1.19 plastic scrapper cut the blade to about 2 inches and cut a small v and it works great.

+1 on the snap tool from the Ebay link listed in an earlier post. I use one of those to unsnap the cover.

I use a rubber mallet to help in the snapping.

I like the idea of chapstick or vaseline for lubrication.  I was going to use vaseline this year but, didn't have any handy when it came time to put the cover on for the winter.

how about a small spray of dry silicone lube?
